The sun had set only a while ago, but Spottedleaf had to talk, when she knew nobody was listening. She saw the shape of the leader, his sides rising and lowering with his breath. Spottedleaf gently nudged him with a paw. "Redstar, get up." "Mmmf. Wha..?" The leader sat up, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. "I must speak with you." "Then start speaking." Redstar yawned. Spottedleaf knew that he would listen to her, not just because he was her brother, but because she was his medicine cat. "You mustn't let Wolfpaw, Eaglepaw, or Birdpaw near the others-" "The others who?" Redstar mewed. "Firetail, Emberpaw, Ravenblink, and... Tigerclaw." Redstar snorted. "Why?" "Redstar, they are the fire that burns the Clan, slowly, but surely." Spottedleaf whispered. "StarClan has sent you a sign?" "Yes. Eaglepaw was attacked by a raven, and your dreams-" Spottedleaf shook her head. "What do we do?" Redstar flicked his tail. "Let them prove themselves. And, as for the apprentices," He sighed, "I suppose that... we just try to keep them away best we can." Spottedleaf nodded, and then walked from the den.
