You have a shotgun that you can use to shoot the robots before they reach the wagon and get rid of your gold (10 health total). You, a Chronomancer from the Federated States of the Americas, want to invest in gold. Gold is a rare substance now and you can't find any. So you use your Chrono-powers and travel back in time to the year 1842... and steal a bank wagon full of gold. One thing you forgot in your haste to "obtain" some gold was the Three Laws of Continuum Conservation. 1) Don't alter the past. 2) Don't break rule #1. 3) Obey these rules. You just broke all three. This means that time no longer flows as normal and things may cease to be historically accurate. Now, the law enforcement of the region has just released their Robo-Sheriff: Modal D-shtroy to stop you.
