Everyone has an opinion on the E-Class, and it's usually very positive. The W212 launched in late 2009 to great reviews and was highly regarded almost immediately, mostly due to the massive advancements it brought into the game from its predecessor, which was about eight years old upon the W212's release. The new series of vehicles sold really rather well for the next few years but by 2011, it was already looking a little dated - but this was rectified by 2013. An all new front end and a revised, more beautiful interior was brought onto the scene, along with some safety updates. They all helped the E-Class morph into the melted blobs of Mercedes today in a rather smooth and comfortable manner. - I promise you I haven't given up with the 1999 brand lineups, it's just really hard to get motivation for a car which you aren't really interested in. And this week, for whatever reason, the W212 E-Class has decided to root itself into my head to the point of me drawing it... And buying the brochure. The E-Class is a very far stray away from what I usually draw. Which is miserable 90's hatchbacks. And it's also a fairly different vehicle to my usual tastes in general, but my eyes are just drawn to the interior. They are so well made and so premium and so bright and wonderful and I would love one. I've limited this project to the standard 'lines' which are basically just trim levels, excluding all AMG models, as well as the Estate (and Coupe... and Convertible), because of multiple reasons. Namely the fact I'll never get it done otherwise, and the fact I just like the standard saloon trims over all else. I'm sorry this isn't as big a project as some of my others but its getting to a really bad point in the way I have roughly thirty unfinished drawings and I'll never get them done if I don't make some sacrifices. So if you really wanted to see the estate, I'm sorry, I'll probably do it eventually. And if you wanted the AMG models, sorry, but you clicked it on my profile and you should thank your lucky stars this isn't yet another 90's hatchback.
