Description

THIS FRACTAL MAKES NO SENSE SOMEONE WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE... PLEASE HELP ME * All you do is look at it. I wanted to share a project because it's April Fools day which really should be renamed CATBLOCK day. Well, this is a fun fractal. I don't understand the iterative process to getting the next generation of circles. I understand it a little. And actually, I have cheated. I don't know how to start out with four tangent circles, I used a special case. Lots of integers here! * Music recommendation: Stand by Rascal Flatts This is a good country song :) * THIS PROJECT IS A WORK IN PROGRESS I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENT, TRIANGULAR FRACTAL NEXT TIME MAYBE OVER THE SUMMER IT MAKES ME SAD THAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS FRACTAL * I should probably stop writing in all caps. But I want to make one that's zoomed in on the one part, where, instead of there being a giant circle around them all, it's actually, one circle in the middle with three arms. I'm bad at describing it. I'm sorry. * The end! I used a different structure as I am now learning Java and Python. I actually do like Java. And I am learning the importance of having a "main" function and then splitting it up into smaller ones. I understand my project is overcomplicated. But, if I continue the series, I will probably get more familiar with the math and everything, and then my code will get better with more attempts. I wish I knew more. It's so sad. * Also, I hope to make a project using matrices so I can warp the image. That'll be fun. * But I thought I'd share this because cat blocks. And. Honestly I think this fractal is SO underrepresented on Scratch. No one knows how to construct it... Of course, I see people using IFS but that's wrong. Ok it's not wrong at all. But who uses construction here? I mean geometric construction. I forget why I like the geometric way more. I think it's faster. And using iteration you can get right to the point. Again I don't know how to do the iteration. But I think, if I zoomed in on one of the inside circles, making the triangle shape would be the most straightforward. But it's hard to figure out the pattern. It spirals endlessly, basically. Which is something I would like to do because fractal zooms are cool. But you have to keep track of so many circles and it just gets confusing. I don't know. I know there are cool math people on Scratch but I feel like this fractal gets overlooked. Maybe I'm wrong.
