Use the arrow keys to navigate. Recenter with the recenter button in the lower right corner. Click Edit, to change the scenery. In Edit, pick a block type and click the map. The tree button randomizes trees, flowers and tufts of grass (on grass blocks, so hit this button after changing the map).
