Snowstar watched her younger self get clawed across the eye, and she winced. That had been the worst pain she'd ever felt to this day. Snowsong yelped in pain as her eye began to bleed. "At least I'll be able to protect StormClan." Lightningfox sneered. She went back to camp, snatching the prey Snowsong had caught to bring something back. Snowsong whimpered. Her left eye's vision had completely gone away, and the blood from the gash was clouding her other eye's vision. She dashed back to camp. She wiped away blood from her eyes so she could see, staining her white paw. She cried, but tears stung her left eye, so she held it in the best she could. The first to see her come into camp was Sunkit. Sunkit yowled with fright when she saw poor Snowsong. Snowsong realized how bad she must look with her eye so badly inured. Sunkit called for her mother, and when her mother came, she called for the medicine cat, Berrymint, who gasped at the sight of her. "Troutpaw! Come to the medicine den!" She called her apprentice as she lead Snowsong to the medicine den. When Troutpaw came into the den, he looked excitedely at her, seeing only a cat to treat, but then remembering that she was in pain. Berrymint gave Troutpaw some cobwebs and went to fetch some herbs. Berrymint returned with a mouth full of herbs. She placed them on the ground to inspect the severity of the wound. "How in StarClan did this happen?" She asked. "Lightning-" Snowsong began but then she saw Lightningfox. She stood at the entrance of the den, giving Snowsong a deadly glare. A look in her eyes warned Snowsong not to tell. Or Lightningfox would make her pay. "Uh... Um... Lightning tree? The big oak that has been blackened by lightning because it's so tall? One of the branches hit me in the eye when it fell." She said. Berrymint looked at her skeptically. "If you say so." She said, asking no further questions. Snowstar jolted awake as a cat called her name. "Snowstar?" An apprentice said. Iceflower must have sent out patrols to look for her when she didn't return! The moon was moving towards the hills, and the sun would be up soon. "Hello?! I'm over here! Careful, I'm stuck in a pit!" Snowstar yelled. Starpaw dashed over to the sound of Snowstar's voice. "Thank goodness we've found you. Let me help you out." She said. End of Part Thirteen
