He was having the same dream as last time, and was being forced to watch Redstar burn up in mysterious flame. But this time, after the fire had gobbled up the ThunderClan leader, the hungry flames turned to Stonefur. He began to run. He felt the flames licking at his feet, his tail, his paws. And he screeched in fear. He saw a black bird, a crow, maybe, fly overhead. “Help me!” He cried. But the bird flew away, and left Stonefur behind. . . . "That's what happened the first time," Stonefur sighed. "But this time, the fire chased me. And there was a big, black bird, a raven or a crow." Crookedstar nodded. "What do you think, Mudfur?" The medicine cat dipped his head. "Danger lurks in ThunderClan." He continued. "And it will eventually come for RiverClan as well. The threat must be eradicated, ThunderClan... perhaps destroyed." Crookedstar snorted. "Don't be ridiculous, Mudfur." Oakheart chimed in from the back of Crookedstar's den. "Bluefur took in that kittypet. Maybe this is a sign from StarClan. RiverClan must destroy ThunderClan." Crookedstar turned his head to his brother, then to Stonefur. "We attack at sunhigh tomorrow." . . . The battle with ThunderClan was devastating, for their enemies of course. Stonefur had taken the life of Redstar, of course, he had eight more. Stonefur shook his pelt. He was on Sunningrocks, with some of the other RiverClan warriors. Is this what you wanted, Mistyfoot? He thought at the stars, who had just begun to come out as the sun fled from the sky. Have I taken back what ThunderClan stole from us? There was no answer. Stonefur gave up and went back to camp. --> Part 2 (of ch. 13) <-- Emberpaw snorted at Wolfpaw. "Do better than that, Wolfkit!" Wolfpaw launched herself onto Emberpaw, claws sheathed. She batted at Emberpaw's head playfully, and the two apprentices rolled down onto the grass. Birdpaw couldn't come to training with her and Emberpaw, due to having stepped on a sharp rock during a patrol with Firetail and Tigerclaw. Wolfpaw didn't mind being alone, though. Not with Emberpaw, really. . . . Birdpaw was grooming herself outside the apprentice den, as the sun was sinking into the mountains. She took a look at her paw, which her brother had so eagerly and carefully mended. Firetail walked over to Birdpaw, and sat down. "Nasty cut you got," He murmured. "Yeah. Sunpaw made it better, though." "Be careful in the future." The orange warrior warned. Birdpaw nodded. "I'm off to my nest. Good night, Birdpaw." Firetail waved goodbye. Birdpaw waved in response, and as soon as she was out of Firetail's line of sight, she scampered back into the apprentice den, and shuddered. Sometimes Firetail just gave her the creeps. . . . Sunpaw was sleeping gently, dreaming of a sunny greenleaf day with fat mice just laying around. Suddenly, he was wrenched from his dream. He gave a yelp of surprise, as the scenery around him wasn't the medicine den. It was a dark, inky part of the forest. A fluffy grey-and-white cat was growling at an orange warrior, who was bleeding from his shoulder. Suddenly, the white cat jumped on the orange warrior and bit him on the throat. The vision started to fade, but he realized who the white cat was. Shock fizzled through his veins. Birdpaw. Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/509395573
