The sticky, dark fog swirled around the edges of his vision. Where were Longtail and Firetail? As soon as he finished that thought, an orange warrior, followed by Longtail, entered the clearing. “We came, Tigerclaw. Where are we?” “The Place of No Stars,” Tigerclaw growled, “where my mentors will mentor you, to become better Warriors.” A few of the Dark Forest cats slinked out of the shadows to smell the new cats. Firetail seemed unnerved. Yes, Tigerclaw thought. One step closer. To claiming what is.... Mine. —> part 2 (of ch. 12) <— Emberpaw sat, twitching her tail wildly. Redstar sat atop the Highrock, and lashed his tail. Redstar had decided to apprentice Eaglekit and Wolfkit late, so that Birdkit and Sunkit could be apprenticed, too. “Wolfkit,” Redstar mewed, “you are a lively cat with much to offer your clan. Runningwind, I hope you will teach all you know down to Wolfpaw.” The crowd cheered Wolfpaw’s new name. “And Whitestorm,” Redstar continued, “I hope you will pass down all you know to Eaglepaw.” Emberpaw hissed. She had wanted one of the new Warriors, preferably Firetail or Ravenblink, to mentor Eaglepaw or Wolfpaw. “And, Spottedleaf,” Redstar meowed, “at your - and Sunkit’s request, you now have an apprentice. Teach Sunpaw well.” So. Spottedleaf had an apprentice now. “And Birdkit,” Redstar said to the small, fluffy kitten, “I hope that Tigerclaw passes down all he knows to you, Birdpaw.” The crowd cheered for the four new apprentices. Emberpaw nodded- at least she had some others to take care of elders for her! —> part 3 <— Stonefur woke in a dark clearing. He blinked. Where was he? Something caught his eye, and he turned. Redstar, the leader of ThunderClan, was sniffing something. Suddenly, Redstar mewed in surprise, looking at his paws, but the tom’s curiosity turned to terror as he started to run. The ground was burning, and Stonefur jumped. Fire surrounded the ThunderClan leader. Stonefur watched as the flames licked the leader’s feet, and Redstar seemed to notice Stonefur, but before Redstar could open his mouth, the fire consumed him. And there was nothing Stonefur could do to help. Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/507965147
