The sky was jet-black, the stars like sugar scattered across the galaxy. She looked over her shoulder. Her watermelon-sized robot sat next to her, a metal box with four spindly legs. “We made it,” Copper told him. “They can’t find us here.” She looked at the large abandoned shed they were at. He made a low buzzing noise as if he disagreed. “They wouldn’t check here.” Copper reassured the robot. “They can’t take us, to.” [They took my father. Just because he was different. Just because he was missing a limb.] [I can’t hide anymore.] Copper picked up her robot like a stuffed toy. “I never gave you a name,” She said thoughtfully. "And you're a bit plain.
