---- SCROLL DOWN FOR RULES ---- Want to quickly get to the most recent remix? Click here for the remix tree: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/505520876/remixtree Click the green "Remix" button & follow the instructions of the comments in the "number" sprite to animate the next devolution of the number. This, alongside the music & thumbnail, are all handled entirely in the backdrop with NO sprites involved! Oh yeah, you can add more music tracks if you want. ---- RULES ---- (don't break them) Only @BurgEvolutions, @TheDiamondDoggy, @Kyle3912AgainNE, @OisinFan62NE and @KNE101 (and their other accounts) are allowed to break these rules! Rules marked with an (!) can only be broken by @BurgEvolutions, nobody else! Rules marked with a (?) are optional; feel free to break them if you want, but following them is usually recommended. (!) 1. DON'T ADD ANY SPRITES!!! If you do, the devolution's name will be denied and the project tarnished! If you find someone has broken this rule and left sprites in the project without deleting them, why not just skip that remix & remix the previous remix instead of fixing it? (!) 2. It is polite and REMIX ETIQUETTE to comment "Remixing..." in the comments before starting a remix, so people know not to accidentally split the remix tree's branches. If you don't intend to make a new remix branch, then don't remix if someone has commented "Remixing..."! (!) 3. DO NOT BREAK THE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES!! That means nothing too scary or vulgar & no swear words! (!) 4. Don't add or remove anyone from the breaking rules list without Burg's permission! Furthermore, don't delete any of these rules or instructions & don't change the project title either! (!) 5. PLEASE keep sudden colour-changes to a minimum to avoid triggering photosensitive seizures. Respect the epileptics! Respect them! 6. Don't delete or modify any scripts or comments in the project! The thumbnail has to be a backdrop to avoid breaking RULE #1! Don't move it from backdrop #1 either! People allowed to break rules are allowed to do this if they need to fix a glitch. 7. Don't delete any music tracks unless they break the community guidelines or they don't loop (looking at you @legofan208 ) If you don't want to listen to a certain song or genre, utilize the "audio exemption" functionality to make sure you can't. 8. On the topic of music, please also refer to the Music comment's recommended music limit so that @BurgEvolutions doesn't suffer too much lag from this project. (?) 9. The "Number" variable should be set to the previous number before you remixed. (?) 10. Try to put effort into your animating, don't just make it instantly snap to the next number in 3 frames flat. (?) 11. If you find a glitch, report it to @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop or @BurgEvolutions! If you are confident working with somewhat-complicated code, go for it & attempt to fix it yourself, but don't forget to tell Burg about it too! (?) 12. If you are part of the "breaking rules" list, you're allowed to add a new rule if needed. Remember to add it to both this comment and the project's instructions! If you break any of these rules, it may result in your remix being declared UNOFFICIAL and becoming abandoned. You don't want that, right?
Number evolutions/devolutions are a type of remix-chain where people remix & morph a number or other object to it's next state through animation. This is @BurgEvolutions's third evolution he started & his first to followed a fixed pattern instead of a random one. Is it possible to make a Number Evolution without any sprites? @CheckyTheCheckMark says YES! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/388193353 But can it be done with number devolutions? @Numberscratchers_30 has proven it right! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/390974782/ This devolution, being the first @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop made on his NE account & his first number DEVOLUTION, is a sequel to the latter and as spriteless as ever! When you remix and devolve the number, keep in mind the #1 rule: DON'T ADD ANY SPRITES!!! Enjoy! This got out fast, with a development cycle of around 2 hours. Good thing I found out about @Numberscratchers_30's first "No Sprite Number Devolution" before making this so I could make this a sequel instead of a ripoff! Credit to him! ---- CREDIT TO ALL OTHERS, INCLUDING ---- - @Kyle3912AgainNE and @Twin138956Scratch for being the pioneers of number evolutions. - @CheckyTheCheckMark for starting the concept of making (d)evolutions without using any sprites. - All creators of any music & sound FX featured! - Scratch 3.0, for being coool - @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop, my main account.
