Day 24: I rest near the lake, watching a dragonfly gently rippling the water before flying back up. The grass near the lake blew slowly. I had finally finished my story, My Last Day. I hoped the judges would like it. I also knew I should probably turn in my words for word count as the day until camp ended drew closer. Sighing, I headed back to cabin. I realized it the difference in here since the first day. Besides the fact that it had grown with people, things were less awkward and more fun. People were talking, and devising more cabin war ideas. Many of them greeted me. Alba, Sini, and Li, though, were all staring at Li’s parchment, discussing something in whispers. I headed to my room and wrote another letter to Star, just for the fun of it. By the time the pigeon had flown away with it, the sun was dipping down the horizon. Eventually, I went to sleep.
