Estimates by me may differ from official reports - Hurricane Zeta was one of the many hurricanes of the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The storm started off in the western Caribbean sea and struck the Yucatan as a hurricane. The storm weakened over land but began to re-intensify as it entered the gulf. On the morning of October 28, Zeta became a hurricane again as it rapidly approached the coast of LA. Despite being in waters that should be too cold for intensification, Zeta went from a category 1 to a category 3 in a few hours and made landfall in southeast LA at peak intensity, an incredible feat that late in the season. The storm blew through Louisiana and Mississippi, with the storms eye going directly over New Orleans. Due to Zeta's fast movement, tropical storm force winds were felt as far north as Virginia before Zeta became extratropical and crossed the Atlantic, bringing impacts to Europe. Zeta is one of the only known tropical cyclones to produce snow still as a tropical cyclone. - Tags: #Scratchmaster295 #TropicalCyclone #Hurricane #Meteorology #HurricaneZeta #Zeta #NewOrleans #2020 #Weather #Animations
