edit 3/16: #7 on trending for art :00 - - - - - Dude you guys are actually insane- Thank you guys so so much for 1k! When I first started, I thought that 100 followers was amazing but 1k??? YOU GUYS THIS IS CRAZY I do get a lot of questions asking if I have any tips for drawing so I hope this helps some people! Also I did redesign Delta because I wasn't really satisfied with her design so I'll come out with a ref for her soon! (Note: I might make some small changes when I make it ^^) Please do not use/trace/heavily reference any of my art. I worked really hard on this and art theft triggers me :/ - - - - - (Read the Notes and Credits) - - - - - Feel free to use this project for inspiration! I recommend not using the same process as me since everyone draws a bit different, but I hope this helped! - - - - - Art - @Pikoki-- OC - Delta (redesigned) Zoom Coding - @Colorsnatch Songs - To their rightful owners - - - - - #art #artprocess #1k
- - - - - > Art Process Steps (arrow keys) Click and drag to zoom 1) Sketch - - - I like to start off with the head! Then I draw down to the body. 2) Lineart - - - Going over the sketch! Basically how i pick the lineart color is just I use a darker version of the darkest color of the character. 3) Flat colors - - - This part is really relaxing for me. I duplicate the lineart layer and section off areas I want to fill in. I use Procreate so it's easy to get a clean fill! All you have to do is grab the color from the top right corner and drag it into the section you want to fill. 3.5) Extra - - - I just added a few things such as the eyebrow fur and the olive branch (that mildly looks like wheat-) 4) Shading - - - First, make a layer between the lineart and the flat colors layer. Then use clipping mask and select the layer's blending mode to "Multiply". I use a light magenta for the shading. Make sure to know where your light source is before you start shading. In this drawing, it's from the top right. I then like to blur the shading a little to make it a little softer. 5) Lighting - - - Make another layer on top of the shading layer, also clipping mask on the flat colors layer. I switch the blending mode to "Add" and use a light yellow-orange airbrush, opacity at 40%. Again, make sure you know where your light source is! 6) Shading 2 - - - Again, making another clipping mask layer, this between the lighting and the shading layer, I switch the layer to "Multiply". This time, I airbrush a dark purple around where the first shading was. This gives the drawing a little bit more depth perception. 7) Lighting 2 - - - It's basically the same as the first lighting but instead of clipping mask on the flat colors layer, it's clipping mask on the lineart. 8) Highlights - - - These hightlights are for things that shine, such as a horn or an eye. 9) Final Touches - - - I first duplicate the lineart layer and then add 3% of gaussian blur to it! This also makes it look softer. 10) Finished! - - - I added a watermark and a simple background! And ayyyy we're done! (Go back to Instructions)
