i’m entering top oc 2021, an ig-based art and oc contest, with this person: teren “thunderbird” vertiv ! i had to draw them in the colors of their “guild”, which is just a splitting-up method for the competition, and while they’ve never worn purple before i actually think it suits them ahaha- longer bio below if you want it! SOOO with that out of the way, i know i said we were done with character intros but i’ve had this kid since december because,, um,, i had to make a character for a science project thing, okay anyway, they’re relevant again :’)) meet teren! i didn’t place them in a kingdom of my fantasy world, but now they are residing in southern cybelos, a region in a once divided and war-torn island, now known for great technological advancements. teren is nineteen and has been working with a group of inventors and reformers, recently having helped them rebalance the politics and justice system that caused the great cybelosian war in the first place. now, they have risen into great acknowledgement and seek to teach teren their ways of valuing fairness while also striving for change and innovation. however, while teren agreed with their values, they are a bit more high-energy, competitive and reckless than their three mentors; in fact, that’s how they earned their code name, “thunderbird,” from their sparks of energy and flighty, intense personality. still, even with such a seemingly difficult apprentice, these inventors saw something in teren and gave them the gift that is their pair of boots with gold, wing-like spikes, once rendered useless but granted some power when given to the right owner. of course, teren was that person, but with great power comes great responsibility (that they have yet to realize).
