Day 12: Today was my first word war, which was incredibly fun. I went against Star many times, and won a fair amount too! I also realized that one of today’s activities was horse-back riding! Me and Star were very excited, since we had LOVED horse back riding in fourth grade. (Long story.) Mango also was very excited, and joined us. Only Low got cold feet when I told her about it. “Er, I’m, reading! Yeah, so-“ “What’s the REAL reason you don’t wanna come?” Low looked slightly embarrassed. “I’m scared of horses, a little. One bit me when I was young.” “Oof. Sorry about that. See you at six, then.” Low looked relived that I understood, and went back to reading. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Horse riding was fun. After we learned the rules, we all got our own horse. I got a caramel colored one with a golden mane. Star got a chocolate coated one, with a black mane. Mango got a white horse, with a brown mane. Their names were Cornelius, Bonnie, and Winston. Riding on Cornelius was like flying. I was clutching on hard, but I also enjoyed it. Cornelius’ gallops had a beautiful rhythm. His mane flowed in the gentle wind. He took me on a round across the camp, past the lake, near the cabins, even a little of the woods. At last, he stopped at the field we had started. “Did you like it?” Said the counselor handling the horses. “It was a new experience.” “Glad you liked him. They really are beautiful animals.” She replied. After avidly talking about the experience with Star, I headed back to cabin. I was reading near the fire place, when- Tweet. It was a email coming from my iPad. I immediately checked it and saw an email from my mom. It had a link to a google doc. I clicked it. It was my entire Sara Series. I used to make these Sara Stories, about a forgetful girl. I had nearly forgotten about these. I read every page. I realized I had a LOT of old writing pieces at home, that had been forgotten or abandoned. I promised to myself I would finish them one day. I slept that night with my head bursting with writing ideas.
Based of SWC I didn’t actually get to do word wars. SCHOOL! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Also, I have no idea if Low is actually scared of horses XD. Sorry Low! Based off @scratchscout37 Wait, that name sounds familiar....
