Ok so I just wanted to talk about this lol *ahem* There are separations between these lol (and also rules) (also I hope I'm making sense lol just ask questions if i confused you-) First off: Ghost OCs. I'm considering an OC a ghost OC when the main way I use them is as a ghost, or if during the main parts of another OC's canon they're a ghost. Or lol if when I created them they're a ghost. BaSiCalLY iF bEinG a GhoSt IS aN impoRtANt ThInG In tHe TiMelINe aND TheY dO ImpOrtaNt CanOn sTUfF as a GHosT. Yes I sometimes break this rule sometimes but whatever. Also I'll only consider them a Ghost OC if they're like that /in canon/, not if it happens in an AU. Canon deaths: yes obviously Ghost OCs have canon deaths, but so do other OCs that I'm not using as ghost ocs. Ex: Ender, Entity, and even Nightpaw have canon deaths at some point, but I just don't use them in stuff like RPs. And now you might wanna listen to this part cuz it makes the ghost OC part make a bit more sense: I kinda like- pick a point in a character's timeline and that's the main version of them I use. If I usually use a version of them that comes after their canon death, they're a ghost. If i use a version that comes before, they're not. RPs: kinda going w/ the last point, anything that happens in an RP stays in an RP. If its a really good rp it could become its own mini-au lol- but mainly it stays in rp. So kinda what I'm saying is RP deaths aren't canon or AU canon (and also like- Nullpaw isn't canon, Nightpaw and Null don't even exist in the same universe) AND YES I KNOW I'VE MENTIONED STUFF LIKE HEROBRINE REMEMBERING BEING KILLED BY SF AND NIGHTPAW REMEMBERING NULL EVEN IN RPs THAT AREN'T RELATED BUT AGAIN, THAT'S JUST RP STUFF, NOT CANON, RP LOGIC IS RP LOGIC. AUs: First off w/ AUs I'm putting them into kinda 3 (technically 4) categories: 1) Official AU 2) Mini/Side AU 3) Temporary "what if" AU 4 (kinda)) RP AU Official AUs are basically like the AUs I'd use or reference a lot, and kinda have a more fleshed out timeline and rules n stuff. Mini/side AUs are ones that aren't very fleshed out and I don't use as much but still like- use sometimes. What-if AUs are ones that legit like we never did anything with and likely stayed as like existing in a couple comments then never again- basically stuff like "imagine an AU where _____" or "what if ________" RP AUs kinda blur the lines and its more like a sub-category lol- but these are essentially the same point as the RP point. The reason this is like a sub-category is cuz like- that one Original RP AU w/ Dragon and the High School AU are kinda considered Official AUs at this point lol- but yea hagfghgshh i hope i made sense lm#ao
oh and lol while I'm on the topic- Ghost rules. I'll make another project explaining all the ghost stuff later lol its cOmpLicAteD- but anyways: 1) Ghost powers (aka going thru stuff, teleporting, floating, making yourself inaudible/invisible) only work in the living world, not in the ghost realm. 2) GHOSTS CANT TRAVEL INTO THE DEMON, NIGHTMARE, OR SHADOW REALMS. And yes I do mean nightmare realm they can still dream walk in a nightmare- 3) yes lol ghosts can still sleep 4) Ghosts do have the ability to make themselves look how they did when they died or more like they did when they were living unless its in a way that a ghost add on prevents. 5) ghost add-ons (like wings, halo, f l o w e r s, crying ink, etc) can be either permanent (I'm p sure Dragon said Lilly's wings are) or optional (like Owen crying tears or Marie having a flower there lol) and yes, not all ghosts have them. And yes they can also include changing looks like the way I'm thinking give canon Ghost Entity a kinda firey look-
