The painting is by @WastedSpace! All I really did was add some stuff over it. Ok sooo you've caught me everyone-- my weakness is actually realistic portraits. I tried to put in a few adjustments here and there (my version is the last in the sequence of costumes btw), but honestly - can't tell if it's better or worse than before. It already looked really nice!! I will say that you may want to hold off on really bright colors unless they are the focus of the piece! (It can still be bright, just not at full saturation) Otherwise they could be distracting. Also try to block off all your colors, even ones in the background. And, keep in mind that it is traditional to leave a little more space in front of where a person is looking in terms of composition, at least so the eye can fall on a thirds line (but as all my professors say, rules of art are learned to be broken, so don't always feel inclined to do so!)
I'm just taking a break from my homework which requires a l o t of animating rn, so don't worry everyone else who asked for a critique! I will get back to you!
