Apart from the extended Chassis cab because at that point all I could think about was that I had drawn all the body types and only people who read the description will see. I also went through the effort of writing down all the available options, I was very surprised this van with technology dating back to the sixties has heated seats as an optional extra... along with a drivers airbag. If I had to pick my favourite generation of Transit it would probably be this followed very closely by the succeeding generation, the MK5. But this project is about the MK4, or also known as the smiley because of the rounded front, 'happy' front end - it was a new facelift on the (by that point) ageing 1986 Transit, a van which still retained bits of the first generation Transit dating back to 1965!
