- 新年快乐- Happy LunarNew Year- Year Of The Ox- Happy Lunar New Year! February 12th is the beginning of Lunar New Year! S-ome traditions I do include getting red-envelopes (红包) with money inside from my grandmother and making dumplings (饺子) with my Mom. Actually, I think it was mostly my : Mom making them I'm not good with wrapping them, but I will try again this year! Another tradition is eating long noodles (长寿面) for a long life. Lanterns and fireworks are also part of the celebrations but I won't be doing that this year. If you would like to do something, you can try to wear red clothes if you have any and you could tell someone (-新年快乐- xīn nián kuài lè) :D!! P.S. It is fine to say “ 新年快乐” but also fine to say “ 新年快樂”. One is simplified Chinese the other is traditional :)! I’m just using 新年快乐 - please don’t advertise. It will either be deleted or reported. I really hate doing that, but your not suppose to advertise :).- Also, it’s fine to comment in mandarin but just know that I cannot read those comments :(! I’m learning mandarin right now but because of COVID-19 the class isn’t the same. Thank you! Also, many comments have been wondering if I was Chinese, the answer is yes, I am half chineese. Happy lunar new year!! :O this was curated on lunar new year (feb 12, 2021)!!
