100 saturation challenge! This came out great. It took quite some time but I had fun making this pixel art. At first, I thought I would just make a house. So I made a base structure - a square. Then, I thought that, since I knew that green and blue as the light and dark colors respectively, can give out really good results. So I did that. Then I did some weathering. But after that, it looked abandoned, so I decided to continue with it. It looked empty , so I made one half of a building. And then, another round of weathering. I added a glimpse of the upright part of that building to the right of the first building. But even after doing that, it still looked a little empty. So I made a big square behind the main buildings. then I carved out the buildings from that dark green square. After that, I added the building in between, it isn't that visible but it adds a little extra depth to it. Then, since it looked boring and bland, I choose a dark blue which suited the dark green. Then I shaded it with the blue. Then I started working on the ground. It was only an outline, so I started filling it. first, I filled it with the outline color, then, I filled the top of the ground with a lighter shade. Then I added some detail to it. Then, I had to figure out how to paint the sky. I first filled the visible area with some random green. After that, I had to figure out how to fill it. You see, when you try to make a bright sky with 100 saturation green, you'll have no idea how to do that, because decreasing the saturation helps to make it brighter. But I didn't have that option, because of the 100 saturation challenge. So I brainstormed for a bit. Then I decided to go with an 86 brightness green, but even after that it still didn't look right. So I added some 100 brightness clouds, now THAT looked good. After all that, I finally called it a day. And here I am typing all this for you to read, thank you so much if you read till the end of this. It really means a lot to me. Enjoy the pixel art!
