Choose one of the shapes at the bottom left and a colour and you can draw that shape. Don't worry about the colour as you draw as what you see at that stage is just showing you where the shape will be drawn when you release the mouse. Click on the pale yellow square at top right to toggle the menu.
This came about when I was helping on the forums and I came up with this method for drawing the shapes. It's not perfect but has potential.
