I'M SORRY FOR SHARING IT SO MUCH I WAS HAVING A LOT OF TROUBLE I drew something!!! Yay! This is inspired by the fic "two sparks" by zach_stone on AO3. It's in the IT fandom, because of course it is, and it follows Eddie as he gets a job as a fire lookout. It's based on the game Firewatch. I decided this was as a good time as any to show my process. I did this a little differently because I was able to color pick from an image and lay down the colors before doing the line art which I don't usually do. Space or click to see each image! First, I sketched out a rough thumbnail. I already had the idea in my head and I felt like getting it down onto a canvas. Next, I color picked from this image from Firewatch because I liked the colors and I slapped them down underneath the sketch. I also changed the color of the sketch to make it look softer. Then, I did the line art. This part is where you fix most of the mistakes such as how Richie wasn't centered in the original sketch and his head was too big. Also, use references for this part! It helps a lot to have pictures of poses and/or the person you're drawing. (We all know this but it's nice to have a reminder) Next, I lay down flat colors. This is a pretty easy step since I already picked out my colors in the beginning. I then added the background. It's probably my favorite part even though I just referenced really heavily from the photo. It's kind of bringing it all together. Then I added tons of layers and shaded and all that good stuff. It took me an hour to do just the shading alone. I'm really proud of it though! I doubt any of this helped but I thought it was fun and I love this piece. The lighting makes me warm inside.

It is a horror movie and it also kinda sucks. Please be safe! I watched a play through of Firewatch but I'm pretty sure it's okay for kids. There's a lot of language and there's some death but it's okay. It would be so fun to play.... Yesterday I was having a hard time drawing but today I made this so I think I just needed sleep :)
