@scratchelevatorfan is banned from remixing When the new lift was introduced in 2008, a special version of the lift called RAD MRL (which is known as hydraulic for low-rise buildings), which was very affordable for those who couldn't afford a GEN MRL or a TRA MRL. However, it did come with its pros and cons, and most owners decided to get a GEN MRL, but some couldn't and opted-out with this type of elevator. It is still used to this day and this one was installed in 2021. Here are the list of pros and cons: Pros: Affordable, about £5000 less than a GEN MRL. Has all the things that a GEN MRL would have. Serves good for buildings that are 2 to 6 floors. Detects a power outage, safety brake, technical difficulties and automatically calls an engineer, just like a GEN MRL or a TRA MRL. Cons: Is slower than a GEN MRL. Installation is harder to do. Indicator looks nothing like the GEN MRL or TRA MRL. No company labelling like the GEN MRL or TRA MRL. Can sometimes break down randomly. You could hear the motor but then it disappears until you go pass a floor.
