He was practicing fighting with a sword for one of his classes in school when there was a loud bang and the sound of glass shattering filled the air. Chaos ensued, and nobody knew what was happening. "It's the ocean!" someone screamed. They were correct; the water from the shore had taken the shape of a monster. Cody smiled. He could finally get the glory that he deserved! He ran out of the classroom down to the beach and lunged at the beast with his sword. It was a quick fight. The monster overpowered Cody, and he fell to the ground, defeated. He was sure that he was going to die, but he didn't. Tendrils of darkness reached down from the bright sky, and soon it was as if it was nighttime. The darkness, speckled with stars, picked Cody up and carried him into the night sky. There, he was treated like royalty for what seemed like weeks. All of the power went to his head, and he became very narcissistic. Eventually, he woke up again, back exactly where he had been defeated. No time had passed, and Cody realized what he needed to do. He had to continue to fight this war, to defeat these beasts. He realized that even though he was forced into this position with the weight of the world on his shoulders, he had chosen a path.
