Description

Estimates by me may differ from official reports - Typhoon Tip (known by PAGASA as Typhoon Warling) is the most intense tropical cyclone ever recorded globally, at 868 mb. Tip started off as a tropical depression near the island of Guam, and rapidly intensified into a record-breaking category 5. Recon found a pressure of 870 mb, however, the satellite structure improved following the mission, and thus the pressure is likely lower. Tip began to gradually weaken as it moved north and hit Japan as a category 1. Tip was massive, with the gale-force winds extending 640 miles from the center, making it the largest ever recorded. As a result, most of the main part of Japan felt typhoon-force winds. Tip then became extratropical and moved north. - Tags: #Scratchmaster295 #TropicalCyclone #Hurricane #Typhoon #Meteorology #TyphoonTip #Warling #Tip #Weather #Category5 #TyphoonWarling #Animations #SuperTyphoon
