This is the game created during the tile scrolling YouTube tutorial. It is quite difficult to pull off correctly, and if you struggle, maybe watch another more basic tutorial. It is the engine I use in a relatively recent minecraft game, and converts a 1D list to a 2D grid of blocks by telling the game that the size of the Y axis is 128 blocks, and after that you have gone to the right and are back at the bottom of the world.
