hiya, this is ENVIRONSIM. i got bored so i made this in like two hours maybe instructions and (really long) documentation below: ENVIRONSIM, or ENVIRONMENT SIMULATOR, is a simulation game about how people (or in this case my people, the beanbois) have an impact on the environment, and vice versa. It's pretty simple (like, really really simple) for now, but I plan on working on it if I have time and/or the will to do so. Now here's a list of everything you should know: The only button you need to know is the LMB (left mouse button), so if you know how to click then you're good to go. That also means this game is mobile compat, which is nice. This is my first mobile-compatible game actually. Environs are units basically used to measure the capacity for life. EpM stands for Environs per Minute, how many environs are produced every minute. Don't let this go near zero, or else some beans might die*. *You can't tell by clicking, but every bean has their own tolerance for how low the environs can go. Normal beans usually have a range of 20 to 45 environs before they die, but mutant beans have a much larger range. They could be pretty sucky, or really tolerant. It's a gamble with those guys. EC stands for Environ Consumption, and I guess that's pretty self-explanatory. Every 7.5 seconds, a bean consumes an amount of environs. BP stands for Bean Point. It's your score in the simulation, you get some every 7.5 seconds (the amount given is equal to a bean's EC). The big numbers below the + [something] buttons indicate how many points they'll consume once they spawn something. Blue means they'll take from the Environs, green means they take from the Bean Points. The little numbers beside it means the minimum points you need before you can use the button. Beans also like to do jobs, like picking fruit from fruit trees. This gives them fruit (what else!), which they can eat to add 50 points to your score. Keep in mind how certain things will affect your beans, and you'll have a thriving population.
changelog: v1.4: -trees now grow fruit every 30 seconds -gave the beans personal inventories -added the 'fruit' item -if a bean has fruit in their inventory, they will eat one every 15 seconds, contributing 50 bean points -added the job system -jobs are completed one at a time, and are done by a randomly selected bean. -added the 'harvest' job -if a tree has fruit, a harvest job will be made. upon completion, the bean that harvested the fruit will receive one fruit in their inventory as reward for a job well done. v1.3: -added some variety among the beans based on EC -added a very MENACING special effect to beans with a certain name -added experimental settings -added bean evolution, see experimental settings for info -changed the way beans are named -trees will now go into hibernation if environs are low, producing a tenth of their environs as a result v1.2: -added the ability to place an object where you want -fixes to bean boi stats -added more music (2 new tracks) -added more syllables to the bng (beanboi naming generator) -changed how beanbois are counted, should fit the new placement system better v1.1: -minor fixes -added a highscore system -added a decorative campfire -added more music (1 new track) -added more syllables to the bean name generator -added a way of counting how many beans there are -added a game over event when all your beans die v1.0: -shared this project with the community -beans no longer spawn on their own
