UnderAsriel. (wip title xP) - PLOTLINE - Begins in a normal Undertale universe. Frisk and Chara have been experimenting with hundreds of routes to see if they can turn Flowey back into Asriel, of no avail. Eventually, they seek the help of Gaster, who changes the RESET button so that it RESETs back to when Chara fell into the Underground. Chara takes Frisk's SOUL and the RESET button and RESETs, hoping to change what happened to Asriel. The RESET button takes them back to when they fell, with everything exactly the same except for one major difference: Asriel is completely evil. - CHARACTERS - Chara: Chara is the exact same as Undertale Chara, except they possess Frisk's SOUL and the RESET power. They are forced into telling Asriel about Determination and then are frozen in a block of ice in his secret lab so that he can harvest it from them over time. They are still alive at the time when Frisk is born, so Frisk relives their life completely soulless. The Six Human Souls: In this timeline, the six other humans who fell into the Underground are still alive, frozen in the same manner as Chara. Asriel has no interest in breaking the Barrier, as he is perfectly content running his underground distopia. However, he is very interested in experimenting with Determination, which he has an endless supply of as the human SOULs are still alive. Asriel: Asriel, or Overlord Asriel, is the much-beloved but secretly twisted evil psychopathic ruler of the Underground who has manipulated all the monsters into desiring to serve his every whim. He is a scientific genius who designed the Determination Extractor and a great many other, less-menacing devices which improve the life of his subjects. He is the adopted father of Sans and Papyrus (see below) and the main antagonist of the AU. Gaster: There are two versions of W. D. Gaster in this AU/AT. The first version is the one who changes the RESET button. He meddles with Asriel's character in spite of the Royal Family, whom he detests. He continues to exist even after Chara's RESET, as he is separate from time and space. The second version is created after Chara's RESET. This Gaster creates the CORE, after which Asriel takes an interest in his scientific prowess and, finding he is easily corrupted by his thirst for knowledge, lets him in on all his secrets, allowing him to experiment with Determination. These experiments lead to the creation of Sans and Papyrus, after which Asriel, wishing to keep such knowledge to himself, murders Gaster and raises Sans and Papyrus as his own. Asgore: Asgore is the benevolent and loving father of Asriel, who resigned from his position as King of the Underground as soon as he heard his son wanted to rule instead. He is completely under Asriel's thumb and would never believe any evil of his son. Toriel: Toriel, like Asgore, was perfectly happy resigning and letting her beloved son rule as he pleased... until she discovered what Asriel had done to the fallen humans. Asriel murdered her to keep the secret and lied to the monsters about her death. Her dust was scattered over the garden, where she loved to be most in the world. Flowey: Flowey exists in this world, but she is Toriel, not Asriel, and she is the result of some of Gaster's experiments with Determination. Nobody knows she exists, as the only person who suspected it (Gaster himself) was murdered by Asriel before he could tell anybody. Flowey is cruel and sadistic and murders monsters without blinking an eye, but she is fueled by a driving Determination to save all fallen humans and destroy her son. She takes the form of a cornflower instead of a golden flower, since golden flowers were never introduced to the Underground in this timeline. Sans: Sans is a stuck-up royal snot who takes pleasure in causing people pain. He enjoys playing mean pranks on and bossing around his brother, Papyrus. Like his "father", he's a perfectly agreeable, friendly, and compassionate person on the outside, but on the inside he's cruel, self-absorbed, and diabolical, perhaps even more so than Asriel. As the elder brother, he's next in line for the throne, and he has plans to do away with Asriel and take his position as soon as possible. (continued below)
