Instructions

Okay, before you read this, there are some WARNINGS. You see that, BOLD LETTERS. ALL CAPS. IMPORTANT. There will be mentions of taking one's life and self harm in this. This story was written with me in mind this time instead of just, "y/n", but I will write it as a y/n story for you guys too. If you do not like such things, then do not read. Okay? Okay. LIKE SERIOUSLY, DON'T READ UNLESS YOU'VE ACCEPTED THE WARNINGS It's been a few weeks since your first therapist appointment. You've finally have convinced Suga to go back to work at the office instead of working from home. You were at home alone today for the first time in a long time. You sighed and plopped onto the couch. You turned the tv on and surfed through the channels. You got a text from Daichi, Daichi: Suga wants me to check in on you from time to time, how you doing? Y/n: He worries too much. And I'm doing much better since the doctor has put me on new meds. Daichi: Well you did give him quite the scare a while back, it's gonna take him a while to stop worrying. He loves you very much. Y/n: Yeah, I know. Do you want to meet me somewhere, it's so boring alone right now. Daichi: The usual spot? Y/n: Yeah, I'll have to walk there, meet me halfway? Daichi: Yeah, I wouldn't let you walk the whole way yourself. Y/n: see you in 15 then. You set your phone down and got dressed to go out. You grabbed your things and walked outside, locking up the house. You shot Suga a text telling him you're heading out with Daichi. He'll be glad you're getting out the house again. You started to jog the usual route to the cafe. About halfway there, you realize you don't have long sleeves on. You can't go in public with your arms showing, you had to sit down on the sidewalk and breath. An anxiety attack. "Where was Daichi?" you thought wildly while it felt like you couldn't catch your breath. You were going to suffocate and die, this was it. You couldn't breath, it's getting scary now. Daichi was jogging down the street when he saw you. He switched to a sprint and was by your side in an instant. "Y/n, you have to breath, it's okay. Focus on what's going on around you. Tell me 5 things you see." he said. You looked around, eyes wide. "The sidewalk, you, trees, a mailbox, a car." you quickly said, trying to calm down. "4 things you hear?" he pressed. "Cars, your voice, the trees moving, someone's mowing their lawn." you said, calming down a little. "3 things you feel?" You relax your hands and brush them against the hard sidewalk, "Concrete. My shoes, your arm." you could breath a bit better again. You motion for Daichi to help you stand up and he did. Your legs were a little shaky so he put your arm around your shoulder. "What got you all freaked out like that? What's wrong." you frowned, "This is the first time I haven't hidden my scars in public."

Description

I guess I wanted to share the story and motivation behind the story even though you guys kinda already know. I've been battling with depression since I was 7 and have only recently been doing much better. Most of the things that happen to y/n happen to me. This story shares some really personal things about me even though it's written as a y/n thing. Like my scars on my arms, yeah. Things like that. This whole series will take you through my journey of depression and how I battled it. I never had a Suga in my life though, so that affects it hugely. Also, the coping skill Daichi walks y/n though is called a countdown. I use it when I have panic and anxiety attacks. You list 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you feel, 2 that you smell, and 1 you taste.
