Small Story: I turned to look back at the man, I knew there was nothing I can do to help him. I started running towards the camp. I knew the camp had food and heat but it was another four miles away. The freezing air burned my eyes; my feet were half frozen. I was already tired from the long journey with the man, but I knew I had to keep going. The snow stuck to my fur like glue; every warm breath I took turned to snow. "It must be around -80 degrees." I thought. I ran for about two miles before I needed to rest. My legs ached and I could barely feel my feet. I walked over to the nearest tree and dug a small hole in the snow. I curled up in the hole trying to warm up. I hadn't realized how tired I was, I could barely keep my eyes open. "I guess I should get some sleep and continue the journey tomorrow." I thought as I closed my eyes. The next morning I woke up shivering. "I better get going. The camp is only two miles away." I thought. I started to dash through the snow. I could see smoke in the distance. I was cold and starving but that didn't stop me. The smoke became closer and closer. I ran faster; I could hear people in the distance. "Ruff! Bark!" I said as I ran closer. I could see people huddled around a huge bonfire. "Finally! I made it!" I thought to myself in excitement. The humans noticed I was walking towards them, one man walked over to me. "Hey there big guy. You look hungry and cold, come over here next to the fire." He said. I joyfully sat down next to the warm fire. The man brought me a big plate of cooked fish. I gobbled down every last piece of fish. "Safe at last." I thought.
