[also this is like an art process so space/tap/arrow keys and hover to the bottom to see my talking about stuff you know the drill ;)] hiii ok so i recently I've been unmotivated to draw- anything, and I after much relfection on this, i realized it wasn't that I couldn't draw things, it was that I couldn't draw things that I loved. Things that reached my expectations of what I'm supposed to be able to draw, and maybe this might be the same with you. I took a step back from scratch and looked at it, --why do we scratchers draw so many humans-- Of course there's nothing wrong with drawing humans! but when there's so many out there drawing humans, you start to compare your drawing of a human, to someone else's. and that can either inspire you to do better, but a lot of the time it can discourage you, making you give up, which didn't quite happen to me, but it was something like that. ok I take that back, there's a lot of- cats, or animals, plants, landscapes, acutally what I'm trying to say is that there's not many abtract peices of art that gets as much regonition. Maybe there's not that many abstract peices of art out there, but I want to change that. I want to set an example for those out there who prefer abstract to what seems like the "norm" of drawing humans, or animals etc, that it's ok to draw something different, you don't have to jump on a bandwagon and draw what others are drawing becuase that's what gets attention here on scratch, but of course if you love drawing all those things- GO FOR IT im not telling you not to draw it, i'm just merely suggesting you to try something new if you're feeling unmotivated or down. But this is all besides the point- my main point is to try something different, and to do something you love, to help your mental health. It's not healthy to draw things becuase that's what the public expects you to draw. I'm sure none of you guys have seen any art like this drawn by me, and neither have i- this was something new for me and guess what- I LOVED IT I may not draw like this all the time, I still enjoy drawing humans, but this was different- this was more expression and less expectation. and I think i want to do this more often whenever I'm feeling unmotivated. And now this comes to you. I want you to try this if you ever feel like you're not good enough, if you feel like you're never be as good as some other artists. Just let go of all your expecations, get rid of all your references and templates and just draw. just doodle and draw whatever you please, becuase it doesn't have to look like something, and it doesn't have to imitate others, it jsut has to make you happy. If you realize your'e not happy while drawing this or anything GOSH DARN IT DON'T DRAW IT. never draw something that doesn't make you happy <33 I'd love to see what you've drawn with this exercise or whatever you want to call this, please remix this and show me what you've got ^^ NO EXPECTATIONS! credits: art & code by me inspiration for this peice was in this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIAx6w0lVVY song is how far ill go by Alessia Cara >> also I'm thinking of using this acc as a fan art acc and some mini art exercises like this- what do you think?
