I have noticed in some Scratchers, namely a few popular ones in the animation meme community, they believe that being active = posting every day. Only to burn themselves out and fearing that they will lose their following. That is simply not the case. PLEASE do not attempt to post daily if you do not have the energy for it. I assure you that your followers will still be excited for your next project, however long it may take to come out. Look at @griffpatch - he definitely does not post daily, yet he's the Scratcher with the most following - everyone knows him, and a ton of people will usually go to look at whatever he makes. This extends to animators as well. A few animators I used to follow back in my day definitely did not post daily, but they were still active. You could still see them love and favorite projects. And when they did post, everyone was excited. Perhaps the current animation meme culture of Scratch is what promotes people to post daily. The vast majority of animation memes on Scratch nowadays are headbop memes. The code is there, all you have to do is replace the original coder's art and put in your own. The only extra costumes are usually face costumes. Contrasting this, most animations when I was most active on Scratch were frame-by-frame. Animation memes were not as popular as they are now. If you wanted to remix it, you had to redraw each costume in order to achieve the same effect. I feel like I should add that your happiness does not depend on how much people notice your projects. Yes, it can be a motivator and make you happy when you do get notice, but it should not be your prime objective. You should be doing your projects because you enjoy them. Not for someone else. It is a bad mentality to get into, and it will only make you feel worse. So, please, do not burn yourself out by trying to post daily. Take a break if you need to. I'm sure your followers will be there for you when you post. tldr: Don't try to post daily if you don't have the ability to; your happiness does not depend on how much people notice your projects.
