You guys were practicing again, but you were learning to set and he was spiking. You two decided to switch roles and try it out. He kept trying to correct your sets, yet his spikes were always managing to get the ball. If he was stronger, he'd be a great wing spiker, you thought. "You need to try to match my high point. Set higher." he said. You frowned and did so, the set not feeling any different than before. "I'm not as good at this as you." you told him. At least you could do an emergency set now, right? You suddenly felt Kageyama behind you as he reached up and gently bent your arms into a better position, "Like this, see?" he said, his arms still lingering on yours. Your faces got really red as he realized he was still touching you and he backed up. "Gomen, sorry." he said as he looked away. "No, it was fine." you told him, also embarrassed. You wanted his warmth again to be honest, but it would be strange of you to just ask him to do what he did again. You shook the thought out of your head. Later on, after practice, it was raining. You look over at Kageyama, who also didn't bring an umbrella. You're phone was dead and he didn't have his on him. "I think we're stuck here for a while." you said. He nodded and just layed down on a bench, causing you to look at him like he's crazy. "There's no way that's comfortable." you told him. He shook his head and smiled a little, "Try it." You decided it couldn't hurt and you laid down. It was surprisingly comfortable. "That's insane, I could just take a nap." Kageyama sat up, "Why don't you go ahead and nap until Daichi or Suga finds us and drives us home then?" You nodded, you were already drifting off. You jerked awake at the sound of thunder, almost falling off of the bench. You sat up and suddenly felt tears welling up in your eyes. You didn't like storms, they scared you. Kageyama saw you crying and he looked shocked. "Oh, you're scared." he looked conflicted for a moment, thinking about what he should do, until he finally just decided to hold you close. He scooted down the bench and pulled you against his chest. You closed your eyes tight as another roll of thunder continued. He started to hum a lullaby to you to try and distract you from the thunder outside. You look up at him and his face turns red, but he doesn't stop humming. You start to relax and hum along with him.
