Story: A man named Thomas Chard wanted to make a fortune. He thought little girls would like a life sized china doll, and spent many years and money perfecting one. Then he put it in the stores, and not one sold. Everyone thought the doll was creepy. He was so mad that he smashed Marette's face on the counter and threw her away. Her eyes flew open and she clambered out of the trash. She had a hole in her face and was mad. She hid, and went to waste. She was so mad at Thomas that she got rid of him. She now waits in Thomas's old workshop, just the way you see her now.
