Instructions

Back in the 1990's, when Vauxhall was mocked for not having a sports car like Mercedes-Benz with their 500-E, they decided to send their everyday hatchback, the Carlton, to Lotus. Lotus returned it back with a twin-turbo i6 beast with 380 BHP. They also did some adjustments to the suspension, gearbox, and chassis, which was necessary to back up its absurd top speed of 180 MPH, and a 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds. That's enough to give L's to even the Porsche 911 Turbo of its time! It could catch anyone's eye, especially those in the rozzers' bad books. It was reported that on the 26th of November, 1993, a Carlton with the license plate 40 RA was stolen from a home. The thieves stole £20,000 worth of liquor and cigarettes. That's £40,000 in today's money! Most of the local police cars at the time were Rover Metro's, that could barely hit 90 MPH. They were so brave that they robbed a store opposite the police station! It is also reported that they outran a police helicopter. The government even tried to ban the car! Up until today, 40 RA hasn't been found, neither have the thieves been apprehended.
