This is for a school assignment. It was rushed, as I only had a few hours to do it. Enjoy it, nonetheless. Context! I am a Native American, to those who don't know, and am Navajo. Navajos live in the Navajo Reservation, where diamondback rattlesnakes are common. Diamondback rattlesnakes are very deadly, and very hard to spot. I was around six, and visiting my grandparents when I stepped on snake. I gave chase to said snake when it slithered away, as my monkey brain didn't stop to think "wow that snake might be dangerous". It escaped under a weird build next to my grandparent's house. It did take several years to realize that I could've died in that moment.
