Note: This is completely hypothetical! This is not a real storm. - Hypo suggestion by @axntieannez On September 10, 2021, A tropical wave formed off the coast of Africa. On September 11, the storm was named Danny. Danny moved through the MDR and intensified into a category 2 before striking Barbados. Danny then moved northwest, peaking as a category 5 just south of Jamaica. Despite Danny's close proximity to the island, impacts were minimal due to Danny's small wind field at the time. As Danny continued west, its intensity fluctuated due to wind shear and multiple eyewall replacement cycles. Danny passed in between Cuba and the Yucatan, although Danny's strongest winds remained off-shore. Danny began to move north and briefly reached Category 5 again on September 16 before again weakening. However, Danny began to intensify again in the gulf on September 17, and with no sign of an eyewall replacement cycle starting, most forecasters believed a category 5 landfall would occur. However, Danny would intensify up to 155 mph before wind shear unexpectedly increased, and the western side of the eyewall completely dissipated, causing Danny to weakened down to a Category 3 when it made landfall on the Florida panhandle late on September 17. Danny still caused major impacts in the panhandle, and due to a brief slowdown, some areas experienced significant flooding. Danny moved east and into the open Atlantic and rapidly intensified into a Major again, before turning extratropical and impacting the east coast. - Tags: #Hurricane #HurricaneAnimation #Hypothetical #Hypo #HypoHurricane #Weather #TropicalCyclone #Meteorology
