This time, you are to land the OSIRIS-REx probe on the landing area of asteroid Bennu without crashing. NOTE: This Lander game is a little different, this time, you have to press the Down arrow key to engage engines, and since OSIRIS-REx's engines are put on top, you will be accelerating towards the asteroid, this is how OSIRIS-REx lands; since the gravity on Benu is too weak, it needs to fire its engines to go toward the asteroid for a landing, though you should only fire the engines in short bursts, to prevent crashing into it at high speed. (It lands with the sampling arm pointing toward the surface.) ***KEYS*** Down arrow for thrust Left and right arrows to rotate **To turn, rotate and engage engines** "S" to show or hide displays. NOTE: Controls are very sensitive, so don't hamfist them. +++ Thanks to @plane_space for recommending the creation of this game in the first place :)+++ This is the sequel to Mars Lander: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/466831500/ NOTE: This is an Open source project, so feel free to remix, just don't copy. NOTE: This game is still in development, so there might be some imperfect things still, but they will be fixed in later updates. Current Version: v.1.1 v.1.0: Remixed it in Code.org from the original, and had the same features as the original Lander, except v.1.0.1 updates. v.1.0.1: Minor, but important physics update, Added where rocket must rotate AND fire engines to turn, instead of being able to turn by just rotating. v.1.1: Added Maximum Thrust, Added Sound effects. ***I created the Physics engine myself, and most of the sprites (The Space background is from Code.org)*** All sound effects created by me from jsfxr: https://sfxr.me/ **Feel free to remix and change things, like the rocket, thrust, turn rates, gravity, that sort of stuff. Visit the game's Studio and community here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/28194115/ I got the cloning code from @planefan89 's Dogfighter 8.0, so thanks for that, or else I would have been still stuck on that, and I got the show/hide labels code from @ZorchyGroxFox 's Spaceplane Simulation game, so thanks for that too, or else I would have been stuck on that too.
