Hurricane Michael was the last of 4 storms to make a category 5 landfall in the US. Michael started off in the western Caribbean Sea in October 2018. The storm moved north and affected Cuba before moving into the Gulf of Mexico. Michael intensified explosively, and intensified into a category 4 early on October 9th, and continued to intensify up until landfall. Operationally, Michael was assessed to have made landfall with winds of 155 MPH, a strong category 4, however, reanalysis by the NHC suggested that Michael was likely a Category 5 for a very brief period of time prior to landfall - Tags: #Hurricane #HurricaneAnimation #HurricaneMichael #Michael #Weather #TropicalCyclone #Meteorology #Category5
