Here is a tip: If you right click on a variable block (as shown in the picture), then a menu will appear which has options to duplicate the block, add a comment, delete the block, or turn it into a different variable block.
Scratch Team, scroll down. Please add this kind of feature to all blocks. I would love to be able to change if-else statements into if statements and back again.
