Description

Characters Designed/DTA Hosted By: @plaquedoctor Backgrounds: Pinterest Audio: "Broken Jaw" - Foster the People please read through the entire description before entering or commenting; your question is likely to have already been answered. yep, this is still open even about two years later. this is my first time hosting a dta - hopefully this goes okay even though dta stands for "draw to adopt", i'm going to be focusing on more than just artistic talent when it comes to judging these. i'm mostly looking for whoever can give these designs a good home, so i'd very highly recommend giving them a backstory/bio as well. it doesn't have to be extremely detailed. if you want, other characters of yours can be added. this is open for as long as the word "open" is in the title - i don't really have an idea of when i'll close this, but i'm thinking i'll start wrapping things up after there are at least 5 entries for each design. press space to navigate between designs rules: -please don't ask to enter; if you would like to enter, by all means do so. you can comment that you're planning on entering, but this is not required by any means. usually a love/favorite will suffice! -be creative with your entries. i will not tolerate any sort of theft - this includes the use of bases (it sort of defeats the purpose of a draw to adopt). if you would like to sample coding from someone else or anything similar, please credit them. -i also won't tolerate any form of putting anyone down. -you may enter for as many as you want, but you can only win one of them. -i don't mind slight alterations to the designs (such as making them anthro, changing/adding clothing, etc), as long as they're still recognizable to the original design. considering the species of these designs are a fairly substantial part of them, please refrain from changing their species in major ways. -try to only enter if you're planning on using the character. -no begging, bribing, or recommending that a certain person wins any specific design. also, please don't ask to have any specific design, you can simply enter for one. however, if you are entering for multiple designs, it's okay if you'd like to signify which one you'd prefer to have if you happen to win. -do not link me to your entries - i will see them when i have the time to do so. (exception: if you have decided to make your entry separate to this project - see below for more information on that) -although i'd prefer you remix this project to enter, i don't really mind if you make your entry separate to this project. -please don't be upset if you don't win - if you'd like, you can make a design inspired by the one you wanted (provided there's still a substantial difference between the two). -if you happen to win a design and you'd like to put them on toyhouse, please credit my toyhouse account (mrvulturebones) rather than my scratch account as the designer. -have fun with your entries! the designs, along with some descriptions (you don't necessarily have to follow the descriptions too seriously, they're mostly just a prompt): 1: desserts dragon (also called "sweet dragon" or "trans rights dragon"): one of the most well-known and versatile mythical species. this particular dragon is inspired by both asian and european dragons. 2: starry night raccoon (also called "constellation raccoon" or "space raccoon"): raccoons are already creatures of the night, so why not take it a step further? why does this one look the way it does - could they possibly be a living constellation? 3: plague flamingo (also called "plague doctor flamingo"): what happened to this tropical pink bird? 4: free-spirited minotaur (also called "don't have a cow, man"): typically, minotaurs guard labyrinths. this one doesn't. 5: peachy manticore (also called "farmer manticore" or "cottagecore manticore"): a creature with the body of a lion and tail of a scorpion; typical manticores are known for being unconquerable opponents, but this one's better suited for peach farming. 6: dark magic unicorn (also called "dark unicorn"): another one of the most common mythical creatures, often associated with fantasy and rarity. what are the motives of this one? 7: springtime werewolf (also called "gardener werewolf" or "cottagecore werewolf"): a gardener by day, and by night... also a gardener? 8: twilight griffin (also called "sunset griffin", or griffon/gryphon): typically a hybrid of a lion and and eagle, though griffins can technically be a hybrid of any mammal (usually a feline) and bird. what powers does this one have? 9: retro dodo (also called "totally radical dodo" or "90s dodo"): one of the most well-known extinct species following some rather extinct trends. likes skateboarding, being supportive, and punctuating every sentence with a high-five. (dodo genuinely might be my favorite of the bunch, i just love the irony.) if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them (but see the rules first).
