Estimates by me may differ from official reports Hurricane Marco was a minimal Hurricane in the gulf of Mexico this August. The storm started off near Central America and moved northward. It then intensified. Both Laura, which was over the Greater Antilles at the time, and Marco were expected to hit Centeral LA at the time at hurricane strength. However, wind shear rose dramatically, and Marco weakened rapidly, making landfall in eastern LA as a minimal tropical storm. However, due to Marco not being very strong, it did not cool the waters below it, leaving warm waters for Laura, which was on its way...
