I was procrastinating HARD and didn't do any of it before today. And then, I thought "Shoko if you don't do it someone else will". (actually someone remixed this before me 'cause of my procrastination but we don't talk about that hhhh) I actually completed this really quick (like an hour or so...?) and it feels a lot more fulfilling than I thought it would. Also I learned how to change the expression without redrawing the whole thing. It's pretty easy to do but hard to make it look good. here's the studio link if you haven't read the story/lore thingy yet: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/28335763/ Now, what you've all been waiting for, the story! ----- [Arlo's perspective] I woke up to the sound of gentle humming. I was lying down on a white floor. I slowly sat up. {Where am I, and what happened?} I thought. It took me a second to realize I was still in the big metal building. My eyes opened wide and I saw I was in some kind of room with nothing but white. "Hello?" I screamed. "Anyone there?" But there was no reply. {Stupid Earth,} I thought. {I should have never come here, despite my friend.} Then I remembered Prismane. Why did he leave me here? Some friend he is. Just then, I heard the soft creak of a door. In walked the boy with the green hoodie who had betrayed me so. "Uh... hi?" he said, like nothing had happened. "The experiment was successful, if you wanted to know." Oh right. I was an "experiment". Wait, but doesn't that mean... "What did they do to me?" I asked nervously. There was a pause. "Nothing much," Prismane said hastily. "Sorry about earlier." His parents experimented on me and he did nothing to stop them and he says SORRY? "I'm afraid you don't get it, my friend," I said, slowly standing up. "Sorry's not gonna cut it this time." Without warning, I blasted the stars I had hidden in my sleeves. What happened next was a series of events that would scar us both permanently. I knocked him into the wall with more force than I ever had before. This was no small feat, my father said it was impossible to blast stars at this speed. "So that's what they did to me," I said softly. Prismane was outside the metal building, trying to recover from the blasts. But I wasn't done yet. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" I screamed as loud as I could while generating as much power as possible to shoot a starbeam at my former friend. "If that didn't kill you, I don't know what will," I said to his body lying on the floor. I took out my star pin and put it on Prismane's hand. Now he'll always remember, even in death. (quick interruption from me, Prismane is not dead here unlike what Arlo thinks, he's actually just unconscious. I'm planning for him to have a vision with Yuzuru in it, but that's for later.) Surprisingly, Prismane's parents and other people who worked there didn't come out. I never even saw them as I walked away. My father had to have been done with the fuel converter by now. I was approaching the spot my father told me to come back to when a familiar voice called my name. "Arlo!" It was a pink haired girl carrying none other than my past friend. "Did you do this," Shoko said calmly. "Who else?" I asked with venom dripping from my voice. "Last time I saw you, you were at the edge of a space volcano." "You were just getting in my way," she protested. "I was just saving your fricking life," I remarked. "Though now I wish I didn't. What have you got to do with HIM?" I pointed to Prismane's limp body. "He's my friend," Shoko demanded. "And you hurt him." "He's actually MY past friend, and I hurt him because of what he did to me." Because that wasn't the first time I'd been experimented on with his consent. "Why are you here? Is it just for fuel? Or revenge?" she asked. "Yes," I said with a grin. And just in time. My father was far enough that he couldn't hear anything I was saying and he just waved. "I gotta go," I said. "But I'll see you around if I ever stop by." With that, I ran all the way to our spaceship. "You have fun with your friends?" asked my father. I nodded. He was clueless. Like Prismane is. Or was, should I say. ---- wOW that took a while. It didn't look as good as I thought it would but whatever. Arlo is really similar to Shoko. No wonder they have the same (ish? shoko's | is a bit lighter than Arlo's with everything together) eye pattern.
