Hi This is Z 'Z' as in 'Zed', not 'Z' as in 'Zee' I'm not an American He was known in 2018 as 'Zelda' But he was basically a blank slate in terms of personality and backstory So we don't talk about that Now he has story So basically, he's this videogame character from a video game that all the cool Cryo-Cats play B) And the Cryo-Cat technology was too good, so good that Z gained sapience. Which meant he became aware of every death he went through in the game, and started to feel the pain of dying again and again. So he deleted himself from the game. You may think that's it for him. But my stupid athazagoraphobic mind won't let that happen. So his dying mind gets intercepted by an artificial intelligence from that third planet that I always mention yet never talk about (*cough* Hyde *cough*) so he just kinda vibes there now. Heck, the OCs have to live on after they die. Even Isiah, who literally gets his entire mind overwritten, gets a duplicate ghost with the same personality but no bad memories of Brittle, which is why he opted to get his entire identity overwritten in the first place. Z's backstory is kind of inspired by that one line in the Doctor Who episode 'Extremis' (at least, I think that's what it was called), when 12 compared everyone killing themselves in the Monks' simulation to Mario deleting himself from the game because he is tired of dying :> I remember these things. It is a good thing for Z that I did, otherwise he'd still be a blank slate. A previous backstory idea for him was that he escaped the videogame but was overwhelmed by the outside world and died.
