Drop Tower Operation Guide =============================== You're the ride operator of the drop tower attraction at Kings Dominion located in Doswell, Va. You must follow ride operating procedures to safely send guests from the top of the 305 foot tall tower to the ground in just 5 seconds. =============================== In this guide you will be the ride operator and also have some of the maintenance controls as well. Be sure to follow instructions. =============================== In this simulation, the ride will break down on occasion. In some unfortunate circumstances, the carriage and catch car will not be in their home positions. When these break downs occur during the ride cycle, it will interrupt and stop the automated ride cycle. To fix this, you will need to activate the maintenance functions (manual ride mode) to return the ride back into normal positioning. When resetting the catch car you must lower the catch car then press "R" to successfully place the catch car in the home position. Otherwise, the automated mode will not successfully start. =============================== Key Commands: *Some of these keys require the ride mode to be set to "Man" * Ride Power: Click or "P" E-Stop: "E" Ride Stop: "S" *Must manually lower/ drop carriage to reset* Auto Start: "Q" *Up Arrow: Raise carriage and catch car *LIFT MUST BE LOCKED TO RAISE CARRIAGE * *Down Arrow: Lower carriage and catch car *LIFT MUST BE LOCKED TO RAISE CARRIAGE* *Lift Lock: "L" to lower... press again to lock *Ride Mode- Manual/ Auto: "M" Red Trouble Light: Click for error message Gates: Click or "Z" Restraints: Click or "X" Space: Dispatch 1,2,3: Operator(s) Clear Lift to bottom: "R" *Lift to Top: Left and Right arrow key *maintenance only* *If carriage is attached to lift, it will lower the carriage as well. =============================== Automatic Dispatch *NOTE* If the "Brake Test" light is illuminated, the first test run in automatic mode after ride power has been turned on, will raise the catch car to the top of the brakes and drop the carriage to test the brakes. The next test run will run as normal. Checks: Gates and Restraints are closed/ locked. Each ride operator "clears" for dispatch (press 1,2, AND 3) Ride mode is in "Auto" Auto Start is enabled (light will be solid and not blinking) Procedure: 1.Close restraints and gates (X and Z) 2.Press and hold space 3.Press 1, 2, AND 3 4. Press and Hold space until the ride begins moving! =============================== Trouble Light: **Ride will shut down** 1. Turn ride mode to "Man" 2. Click light to find out the error 3. Clear error by pressing "t" 4. Turn ride mode to "Auto" 5. Re-enable Auto Start "Q" If the E-Stop button is illuminated, you must turn it off by clicking it, then press "t". =============================== FAQ: Q)Why will nothing run? A) Is the ride power on? The light will be yellow. Press "P" or click the switch. Ensure Auto-Start is on "Q" Q)I can't dispatch the ride... what's wrong? A) You can try 1 of 2 things. You can press "R" to reset the catch car. If the catch car isn't in a specific position, the dispatch cycle CANNOT start. Or you can turn off the ride power and press emergency stop. Turn power back on then clear the emergency stop. Try to resume operation. Q)Why won't the carriage rise with the catch car with the ride set to "Man" mode? A) Be sure to lock the catch car by pressing "L", then pressing "L" again once the catch car reaches the bottom. Be sure the "LIFT LOCK" light is illuminated! Q)Why doesn't the catch car rise? A) Be sure the manual mode is on by pressing "M" Q)How do I reset an E-STOP? A) Turn manual mode on, click the illuminated light, then press "t" to turn off the trouble light. Q)Is there anyway to show the gates opening and closing? A) Not at this time. Maybe in a future update ;) Q) Sometimes the carriage and catch car rise/ lower at different speeds... why is that? A)This is an issue with scripts not ending when they should for unknown reasons, reset the game and it should work like normal! yep.
