The Federal Signal XT22 series is a tornado siren produced from 1952 to 1991. The 3T22, equipped with solenoids, and therefore high-low function, came in trademark Civil Defense Yellow, and grey is the next most common color, especially among newer and rebuilt units. However, blue, red, and even green variants are found in the USA. One such instance even is decked out in patriotic garb! The siren came with a 10/12 port ratio, creating an eerie wail, reminiscent of the British Carter Air-Raid Alarms, used during Nazi raids. Press space to send out DTMF tones to activate the siren, and press the right key to change schemes. Shortly after the DTMF tones are sent, return ASFK tones signify the activation successful.
