Story time. Ive havd a 1936 Allis Chalmers WC since i was 8. it was a summer day back in 2012. i was riding with my dad in his truck and we arived at a local farm auction. My first thing i saw was the line of tractors along the back. Most notablely this old rusty styerotype of a tractor. It was love at first site. It had on old crank and no other form of starter. I had never seen one like that, nor had i ever heard of nor seen an Allis-Chalmers before. I ha dragged my dad over and pointed telling him i loved it. He thought i was talking about the nicley painted up one. So they were surprised When it came time for it to sell, i got up on the seat of the old rusty one. At that time i didnt know but later found out that the WC had brought many peopole from a great distance in wanting to buy it. I got up on that seat and bid on that tractor. And after most of those intrested had seen and talked to me earlier and seen my intrest from such a young boy, most of them didnt have the heart to bid against me. So thats how i managed to get an 1936 Allis-Chalmers WC for $350. I drive it in my local 4th of July parade every year since and every except this year, (thx covid it was cancelled) the local Threshermans parade.
