Okay. Safety glasses on. Today we are going to discuss something that you have probably eaten before: corn. And Burgnew's project "Add Yourself Eating 1,000 Corn Cobs!" is going to help me. The goal for the characters in this project is to eat 1,000 corn cobs as fast as you can. But I'm going to find out if you can actually do this, and if it could do you a lot of damage! Question 1: Can You Actually Eat Them All? First off all, I need to find out how big each corn cob is. And conveniently, I added myself in a remix. Using his height that you all may know by now, each corn cob is about 10 11/64 inches tall, and about 2 feet and 6 1/2 inches in length. Using images of corn, I concluded that the width is about a fourth of the length, so that's 7 5/8 inches. Now using a 3D shape calculator I got 1.3689795600043 feet cubed. That is ENORMOUS! Imagine trying to eat 1,000 of those! You don't need a helping hand, you would need 999 helping hands...err...mouths, you know what I mean! Question 2: Would Trying to Eat 1,000 KILL You? Absolutely yes, assuming you were eating them all in one sitting and as fast as possible! An average ear of corn is about 44 calories, meaning 1,000 would be 44,000 calories. Assuming Paul and Donald (the 2 characters in the project) are full adults and eat the minimum requirement of calories every day (2,000), that would be 22 TIMES more than what they eat every day! And keep in mind, we're not focusing on normal corn cobs, we're focusing on corn cobs big enough to be used as flipping WEAPONS! The only way you could do this is if you ate them all throughout your life! But here, you're trying to eat them as fast as possible! Got it?! Safety glasses off. The only question left is, WHO THE HECK IS GROWING THESE HUGE VEGGIES?! They're vegetables. Not fruits. You can't change my mind on that.
