Snowflakes are famous for their amazingly varied shapes- it's said that no two are the same. Even so, all snowflakes share the same underlying structure, with six similar sides. Snowflakes are six-sided because they grow from ice crystals, which are hexagonal. As a snowflake grows, slight changes in air temperature affect the way ice crystals build up. Because every snowflake follows a different path and experiences different changes in temperature, every snowflake is unique. #art
