not me sharing this last minute like all my school assignments,, it's still dec 14 in my timezone tho um;;; anyway, congrats on 1k ^-^ use space/arrows click to zoom in ABOUT. 一BASIC STATISTICS. name: araceli name origin: spanish/italian name meaning: "altar of the sky" pronouns: she/her species: goddess relative age: 18 absolute age: undefined; as old as the sky 一PERSONALITY. despite what one might assume a sky goddess' personality to be, being the powerful deity that she is, araceli is shy and soft-spoken, her voice high, lilting, but sometimes just barely louder than a gentle whisper of the wind. though it's not like she finds many reasons to speak, anyway, much preferring to stay quiet and listen, as unassuming and unobtrusive as a summer cloud. she notes one can learn many things by simply stepping back and observing. by being aloof. detached. 一STORY. so imagine her surprise when she realizes that she's fallen - fallen in love with the sea. it happens, ironically, as she imagines what a crashing wave on the shore might feel like. shallow, at first, as the water recedes back, teasingly, albeit weakly, tugging at your feet. a negligible sensation, one easily ignored. but then the water rushes back stronger, its power tenfold, almost as if the sea were asking, "how dare you ignore me?" as it crashes over you and pulls you in. if you're lucky, your feet catch the ground, and you can retreat to land - if not, well... araceli had always liked looking at the sea below her and its reflective surface. it's interesting, she thinks, how she can see herself in the blue water, and she quickly loses herself in her thoughts. "you are?" a voice asks demandingly, cutting her daydreams short. araceli startles and pulls a cloud over her head in hopes of concealing herself. "what're you doing?" the voice asks again with a hint of amusement. araceli thinks it's coming from the sea, which is strange. the sea has never talked to her before. she thinks the sea's voice sounds nice, though. "what's your name?" araceli breathes, peeking her head out from the clouds to look down, her eyes meeting two sapphire orbs, dark and intense and staring right back at her through the blueness of the water. "i asked you first." "araceli." "araceli? sounds weird. sounds like 'silly'," the sea jests, and araceli feels a prick of annoyance, which shows on her face. also strange. she usually doesn't let her emotions get this far, but evidently, the sea seems to be especially aggravating. "what's your name?" she repeats herself, brushing off the feeling. in any other case, she would've already abandoned the conversation, but she felt the need to at least have a name before she left this one.
